UNAC: “National Call to Action: #NoWarWithRussia”
At a recent on-line meeting that 1350 people signed up for, leaders of the US antiwar movement supported calling for international actions during the week of March 1 – 7 against any moves towards war with Russia. Please join us.
Tuesday February 22, 2022 representatives of national antiwar organizations called a meeting of activists from around the U.S. and beyond: How to Respond to War Threats on Russia. What we can do.
The Speakers Panel, chaired by Joe Lombardo of UNAC, included: Medea Benjamin of CodePink, Leela Anand of Answer Coalition, Ajamu Baraka of Black Alliance for Peace, David Swanson of World Beyond War, Sara Flounders of International Action Center, Margaret Flowers of Popular Resistance, Bruce Gagnon of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear power in Space, Margaret Kimberley of Black Agenda Report, Jeff Mackler of United National Antiwar Coalition, Susan Schnall of Veterans for Peace, and Nancy Price of Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. Many others had the opportunity to speak. More than 1300 people had signed up for the meeting which was attended by more than 900 activists, while others watched on Facebook feeds.
